Below is an example of a recent clock case restoration project. The mahogany inlay was badly damaged on 4 of the 8 sections due to the wooden frame being split in 3 places. All the inlay and brass leaves where carefully removed and the wooden frame was repaired. Once the frame had been repaired work on the inlay pieces could begin. Each piece of inlay was carefully cut to fit the brass leaves before being fixed to the frame. The final picture below shows the finished clock dial surround.
